Hi guys,
I'm not quite there but have just started the sciences extended degree at London Met to progress next year to HN & D. I would be so grateful of any advice that you think got you through the interview. As there are only 32 places on the course I'm sure competition is tight.
Thanks for reading

Hi Carlita,
I'm planning to do the same thing as you starting the sciences extended degree in october this year. I'd just like to ask what you thought of the course and if you got on to the dietetics course
Looking forward to your reply,
Mandy |

Hi,
I did the sciences foundation year at london met in 2009 but did not get on to the HN & D course because it is very competetive and selective. You need to make sure you are getting above 65% in everything to stand a good chance and show enthusiam in the interview and group discussion. But apart from all that i really enjoyed my time at london met it sets the science you need into place. You meet so many different people aiming to do one of the science courses london met have to offer and its great fun. Im in year 2 of Dietetics in leeds met so all wasn't lost If you have anymore question feel free to ask.

Ahh great! Thanks for the advice. I had my first few lectures today and everything seems to be okay. I'm gonna concentrate on nothing but the science course this academic year and preparing for the interview. I'll also be applying to kings through UCAS which need 75% in all modules. So wish me luck ! xx
Glad to hear you're doing dietetics at leeds met. Best wishes for the future, I'll inbox you if I ever need advice. Lol, do u use this website as a resource in your studies in dietetics? |

Hi Geoff
Just a quick question in regards to London Met and the course. Do you think its better to live in London or do you think you could commute as mentioned you said you have 2 days off. Does anyone on the course communte into London currently?

Hi Kuddles29,
I've just graduated after doing 4 years of commuting to LondonMet from baldock, Herts. It was fine but v. expensive!! I guess it depends how far you have to go. It's a lot more difficult during placement.
I had some very early mornings for 12 weeks on B placment as I was in West london and started at 8.30. We did nearly move to London for my C placement as it was South London but luckily didn't as that particular one was withdrawn and I was amazingly given a hospital that I could drive to which made a massive difference.
Hope that helps, good luck! |
