Truss, the course is still running and yes, you can register and apply for the HPC to be a Dietitian after the course. What isn't running this year was the Direct Entry for 3 year, is that what you mean?
I think the course is called MNutr rather than Dietetics is because its course structure is actually different to other courses, being able to work with other students from Biosciences and Medical school but still approved by the HPC.
Faye2, I sent mine off on the 10th, it took me AGES though as the questions were really hard and in depth considering you only had 200 characters to write an answer. How did you find it? And no, haven't heard anything from them yet. But wow! Nottingham is choosing their applicants carefully, with the questionnaire and then maybe a interview afterwards before decision >.< Good luck on your application Faye2 Eric |

Hi
I am looking to send in my application for MNutr at Nottingham later this year (to start in Sep 2013 - although it seems aages away at the moment I know I need to start prepping early).
I am in the process of applying to an Access to Science course and hope to start that this Sep. Anyway....having read these posts I am really nervous about the questionnaire to get onto the MNutr (tough with 4 !!!! :os) and was wondering if you could provide some examples of the questions if that's not too cheeky. Alos, do you have to complete it all at once or can you check out the questions first and come back to them later? Any insight at all would be most gratefully recieved as I am a Mature Student and MNutr at Nottingham is really my only choice due to travel restrictions etc.
In terms of experience I have signed up to 2 Dietetic department open days and am chasing some work shadowing in addition to applying for some semi-related volunteering roles and really any advice any of you lovely people could provide would really be so kind.
Phew..long post, sorry! x |

Hi bumblebuzz,
Aww, thank you! haha. The interview went pretty well i thought. Questions weren't really hard (everyone in the group agreed and seemed to come out quite pleased), perhaps they were testing your confidence and approach more so? Not quite sure. But should hear a reply from Notts by the end of late next week. Very excited and just want to know how I did now! >.< Eric |
