Just out of interest, is anyone else - other than me - starting at Chester in 2012 for the post grad course? I figured it might be nice to get to know a few people before then!

Hi Tom! I know one girl who goes to my uni that has accepted a place at Chester, her name is Kate - she's really lovely! :) Only one I know of though!

It does seem strange! Though I'm sure everyone on your course will be lovely, maybe they just don't know about this forum!! And they're probably less likely to be looking on it now if they've had offers. I'm currently on the waiting list for Chester, Cardiff and Leeds, so really hoping I get in somewhere this year! Went to the open day for Leeds last week and it seemed really good! Just gotta carry on the waiting.. How's the PhD coming along?

Well fingers crossed! After a three hour long viva the PhD is now over. Three minor corections to do and then it's finally done.

Hi Tom,
I've got a place on the postgrad course at Chester - haven't checked this forum for a few days so didn't see your post. Really excited about the course, it's a while since I did my first degree so I'm feeling a bit daunted but I've wanted to do this for so long so really looking forward to getting started! Do you live in Chester?

Hi Cathy,

No, I don't live in Chester - I live pretty much on the other side of the country (East Yorskire). Guessing you live there? Yeah I'm really looking forward to it too, although it'll be strange going back to lectures :s I keep looking online for somewhere to live - Chester isn't as expensive as I thought it would be. Just hoping there isn't any issue with the bursary forms!

Thanks! :) Has anyone thought about what they're going to do for accommodation yet?

I am going to go private; probably a room in a shared house or something like that. I think that would be the cheapest option at present. The uni accommodation will be pretty expensive I imagine.

Just out of curiosity, would anyone be interested in house shares? I appreciate that no-one knows each other, but I think the accommodation is going to be tricky to sort out (and expensive) individually, especially if we all will be on the NHS bursary.

Hey! I was going to put out the exact same message! I'll be looking to house share too, would be nice to live with others on the course rather than random strangers :p House rental prices seem pretty reasonable in Chester which is good!

Hey Heather! I'm going house hunting on wednesday next week. I'll have a look and see whats around. If you're interested in sharing, would you be up for maybe meeting up over summer in Chester to have a look at some? Also just emailed you a link for the one I'm looking at. What sort of price do you think is good?
