Hi Emma,
Congratulations! I'll be starting there in September too. Important dates are Sept 17th 0900 for the induction (to take place in room 218 of the Westminster building. There is mandatory training on the 21st and 28th of September (no location details as of yet). You should also try and get in touch with a guy called Rob Dawson (institutional compiance officer) wrt completing the CRB form. You could probably get hold of him from the main switchboard (01244 511300). I'm guessing you won't have received the letters from the NHS yet re the bursary. I think you can still fill it out but I'd check with them; they have a facebook page (NHS student bursaries). You should also get some stuff about enrolling, too. Looking forward to meeting you!
Tom

hi,
no i will be commuting, I live just under an hour away so not too bad, i am just dying to know what the timetable is and how many days that we will be in. Does anyone have any sort of idea that a lecturer has told them or past students?
have either of you done any pre-reading? I want to be prepared for when we start!
Thanks for your help! |

Hey, I'm currently going into 2nd year of the PG at Chester. Last year we had 3 modules plus professional development seminars in the first semester (Sept - Feb) and were in 3 days a week (off Mon & Wed: This may change for your year tho!?!). Placement A (4 weeks) is also just before you break for Xmas hols.
Hope this helps.x |

Hi! I'm starting the postgrad course too and have been told we'll have lectures Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (needed to arrange childcare so I've been pestering for information!) plus the mandatory training days. Wednesday and Fridays other than training should be reading days to start with. Can't wait to get started though and get all the information!
Look forward to meeting you on the induction day! |

| B placement will be Jan-Mar of your 2nd year (2014 in your case) and C placement is May-Jul of the same year. They are both 12 weeks each :) |
